This is an awesome recipe for a delicious green smoothie.
Don’t be fooled by the green colour, this is delicious! Getting a few greens at breakfast along with healthy fats and fiber from chia can give you a good, anti-inflammatory start to the day.
But don’t forget, smoothies are the ultimate recipe for substitutions. Try swapping different greens, fruit or seeds to match your preference. And adding in some extra healthy fats such as coconut oil or protein such as hemp seeds and you can make this a full meal.

Chia Peach Green Smoothie
A green smoothie can taste great and make an amazingly nutrient-dense addition to your diet. And it is better than stopping for something convenient that is full of sugar or flour, or both!

Ingredients
- 1 handful baby spinach
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 banana
- 1 peach chopped
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Instructions
- Add ingredients to blender in order listed (you want your greens on the bottom by the blade so they blend better and have the chia on the bottom to absorb some liquid before you blend).
- Wait a couple of minutes for the chia seeds to start soaking up the almond milk.
- Blend, Serve and Enjoy!

Bonus: Chia seeds not only have fiber and essential omega-3 fatty acids but they contain all of the essential amino acids from protein.
