Caffeine-free Chai Latte

This is a very quick recipe that can be whipped up in the morning or for your "coffee" break. It is filling and tasty.

  • 1 teabag rooibos tea
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp almond butter  for nut free sub sunflower seed butter
  • 1 medjool date, pitted  optional
  • 1/4 tsp ground ceylon cinnamon
  • 1 thumbnail fresh ginger  about 1/4 tsp
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 1/8 tsp cardamom


  • Steep tea in 2 cups boiling water (I do this in the actual blender). Add remaining ingredients. Remove teabag (don't forget this part!).
  • Blend until creamy. Pour into cups and enjoy!
