Tasty (and beautiful) Pre-Meal Water Ideas

One recommendation that I make a lot is for people to drink more water! Most of us are not drinking enough, and water is essential for our bodies. Drinking an adequate amount of water can help the quality of our skin, reduce overeating at mealtime, and help reduce afternoon fatigue, as well as many other science based benefits.

If you’re not much of a plain water drinker or need your water to be more appealing to your senses here are five delicious (and beautiful looking) fruit combos to add to your large glass of water:

  • Slices of lemon & ginger
  • Slices of strawberries & orange
  • Slices of apple & a cinnamon stick
  • Chopped pineapple & mango
  • Blueberries & raspberries

The best part about this recipe is that  it’s so easy and versatile that a recipe isn’t really required! Sometimes just reading about a few ideas (above) can help you to create your own combos around healthy, flavoured water. Check these delectable photos for some inspiration:

Tip: You can buy a bag (or several bags) of frozen chopped fruit and throw those into your cup, thermos, or uber-cool mason jar in the morning.  They’re already washed and cut and will help keep your water colder longer.

This is one healthy habit your body will thank you for!
